Being in a caregiver role can be stressful, painful and emotional as well as financially draining. Although most of us assume a caregiver role at some point in our lives, are we really prepared to handle this? Are we ready for the impact on our lifestyles it brings about?  Our families weren’t.

In discussions we have had with people about caregiving, the majority of people indicated they would be prepared to sacrifice some parts of their life to provide a comfortable life for their parents in their later years.  Ironically, the parents of these same individuals said they did not want their adult children to give up their career and lifestyle for them.  How often have we heard from parents that they do not want to rely on their children as they get older?

Women have made major advancements over the past 75 years; both in their professional life as well as having others share in family responsibilities.  However the largest threat to everything women have accomplished is the looming caregiver crisis, as they become the primary caregivers for their partners, children, parents and of course themselves.

With the approaching responsibility of caring for loved ones -- or eventually needing a caregiver yourself -- how prepared are you for the impact it will have on your life?

Because of our own experience, we understand exactly how this can affect your life.  We also know the options and solutions to help you minimize the financial stresses and burden that come with the caregiver role.
